During the first quarter of 2021 we are conducting a study of the book of Genesis.  This class and all material/links are humbly offered in the hopes that they can aid your personal study of this vitally important book of Scripture.

We are very excited to have this study.  Journeying through Genesis together is an excellent way to begin 2021 and our focus on the theme of "Steadfast, Immovable."  It is also a very timely book to be studying given the current environment in our nation.  Our nation, quite simply, has failed to recognize the God-sized hole in the hearts of the people.  We need to go BACK TO THE BEGINNING as a people... and renew our commitment to reflecting the great message of God in the gospel.

You will find below a weekly schedule and links to study materials.  You are encouraged to read and journal the book in your personal study.  Crossway produces an excellent Scripture journal for Genesis that you can purchase for a reasonable price.

This class will have many layers to it.

• Class sessions will spend very minimal time covering the details of the narrative, so it behooves you to be reading and studying that narrative outside of class.
• We do plan to conduct a "Text Talk" on Zoom on Monday nights to study those details and try to answer any questions you have.  Please send us a message if you would like to participate.
• Class sessions on Sundays and Wednesdays travel deeper into the text.  Sunday class sessions will center on how key themes are developed and how we can meaningfully inject the message of Genesis into our hearts and lives.
• Wednesday sessions, God willing, will exhibit great variety and deeper dives into harder topics.  On Wednesdays in January, we will explore some of the apologetics-related questions that a study of Genesis might raise.  On Wednesdays in February and March, we will build on the doctrine of man's distinct value in God's sight (Genesis 1:26-27) and explore the important subject of how to be a distinct, Christlike people, devoted to giving a gentle answer to others.
